About Us

With over 40 years experience Prism Lighting has built up an excellent reputation for the supply of lighting, staging and effects.

Established in the North West of England in 1978 to service the touring market, they now also cater for the dry-hire, staging and special projects sectors.

Continuous growth in hire stock, investment in new technology and custom premises, together with an experienced and professionally trained support team gives the Prism Lighting of today the ability to cope with large, complex lighting and staging systems.

Their diverse client base ranges from international corporate bodies, through the entire spectrum of the music business to local authority theatres and outdoor events. However, they still retain the flexibility to supply a single replacement lamp to an amateur theatre group at a competitive price.

Prism Lighting now supply everything from structural support systems to intelligent moving lights and a full stage system, together with all the associated equipment to meet clients' needs.

Their warehouse is ideally located to service the Midlands, Liverpool, Manchester and North Wales. The national motorway network gives quick and easy access to London, the south and the rest of the UK.

In-house project management skills are applied to ensure that every event is expertly planned, equipped, and operated with brilliance, efficiency, safety and to budget.

Investment in the latest IT equipment and software allows their team to run the hire department with greater efficiency. This gives them the perfect platform for CAD publishing work and the ability to produce clear technical plots and impressive rendered drawings. If you are in the business of selling your design ideas, they are able to produce 3D visualisations and accurate drawings for you to include in your presentations.

Prism's warehouse is located on a light industrial estate, just off the A41 at Hampton Heath, near Chester and Whitchurch. Having moved to this site in 1994 it soon became clear that due to expansion in their hire stock, more storage and working area was required. Acquiring the adjacent unit in 2000 tripled the floor space available. Today Prism Lighting benefits from:

  • Spacious offices, recently refurbished conference room.
  • Extensive repair and maintenance facilities for their entire range of lighting fixtures and associated equipment.
  • Dedicated flight case, mains distribution & dimmer rack fabrication area, with high-level dust extraction.
  • Testing Stations to examine intelligent lights and fixtures prior to shipping.
  • Generous forecourt space offering off-street parking for visitors and clients.
